Dagger (token XDAG) is a new cryptocurrency, which is not based on the blockchain, but on a DAG (Direct Acyclic Graph), and instead of the other DAG-oriented coins, XDAG allows mining.
It's currently the only mineable project of DAG+POW. Dagger is a part of the distributed ledger. Every block includes a transaction, and it's also an address. Transactions are confirmed every 64 seconds.
XDAG is developed by Cheatoshin0 a Russian mathematician professor , in September 2017. Main-net was launched in Jan 5, 2018, after a few month Cheatoshin0 have deleted all his message on Bitcointalk and left the code of XDAG in the hands of the community.
The project has no ICO or pre-mining, and is 100% driven by community. Now it has a team of volunteer developers from all over the world. Current products include mining software, digital wallet, explorer, and other blockchain tools.
